How to use the new App Library
The new App Library is a great way to keep your home screen organized in iOS 14. Here’s how to use it:
To access the App Library, simply swipe to the right on your home screen. You’ll see a grid of all of your apps, organized by category.
You can also search for apps in the App Library. Just tap the search bar at the top of the screen and type in the app you’re looking for.

How to hide app pages
One of the best things about iOS 14 is that you can now declutter and customize your home screen. This means you can hide entire pages of apps, which is great if you want a minimalist home screen or if you want to declutter.
To hide app pages on your home screen, simply long-press on an empty part of the screen. This will bring up the option to enter “jiggle mode,” which allows you to move apps and rearrange your home screen. Once you’re in jiggle mode, simply tap on the dot in the upper left-hand corner of each app page that you want to hide. A menu will pop up asking if you want to delete the page or hide it. Choose “hide” and the page will disappear.
How to create custom app icons
iOS 14 introduced the ability to customize your home screen with your own personal photos and designs. This includes creating custom app icons, which can be a great way to personalize your device and make it unique.
Creating custom app icons is relatively simple. First, you’ll need to choose an image that you want to use as your icon. This can be a photo, a drawing, or anything else that you think would look good as an icon. Once you have your image, you’ll need to create two versions of it: one that is 120x120 pixels, and one that is 60x60 pixels. The larger image will be used as the icon on your home screen, while the smaller image will be used as the icon in your app drawer (where all of your apps are listed).
Once you have your images ready, you’ll need to open the Shortcuts app on your device. From here, tap “Create shortcut” and then “Add action.” Search for “Open app” and select it from the list of results. You’ll then be prompted to choose which app you want to use this shortcut for. Select the app that you want to customize, and then tap “Add action.”
Next, tap “Choose photo” and select the larger 120x120 pixel version of your image. This will be used as the icon on your home screen. Finally, tap “Done” and give your shortcut a name. You can now close the Shortcuts app and find your new custom icon on your home screen!
How to use smart stacks
iOS 14 comes with a number of new features and improvements, one of which is the ability to use smart stacks. Smart stacks are a new way to organize your home screen, and they allow you to group app icons together so that you can quickly access the ones you need.
Here’s how to use smart stacks on your iOS 14 device:
1. Press and hold on an empty space on your home screen.
2. Tap on the “Stack” option.
3. Select the apps that you want to include in the stack.
4. Tap on the “Add” button.
5.Repeat steps 3-4 for each stack that you want to create.
You can also customize your smart stacks by tapping on the “Edit” button next to the stack, then selecting the options that you want to change. For example, you can choose how many apps are shown in the stack, as well as which app is displayed first.
How to use widget gallery
Widgets have been available on iOS since iOS 8, but they’ve always been hidden away on the Today view page. With iOS 14, widgets are getting a major upgrade and you can now add them to your home screen. Here’s how to use the widget gallery to decorate your home screen on iOS 14.
To access the widget gallery, long-press on an empty area of your home screen. In the menu that appears, tap “Add Widget.” This will take you to the widget gallery, where you can browse through all of the available widgets.
To add a widget to your home screen, tap on the “+” button next to it. You’ll then be able to choose how large you want the widget to be and where you want it to be placed on your home screen. Once you’re happy with your changes, tap “Add Widget” to add it to your home screen.
You can also add widgets by tapping on the “+” button in the top-left corner of the widget gallery. This will take you to the App Store, where you can download widgets from your favorite apps.
How to use Siri Suggestions
Siri Suggestions is one of the most useful features of iOS 14. With it, you can get quick access to the things you need, when you need them.
To use Siri Suggestions, simply open up Siri by tapping on the Home button (or saying “Hey Siri”) and then asking her to show you something. For example, you could say “Show me my messages” or “Show me my upcoming events.”
Once Siri shows you the information you need, she’ll also provide a shortcut to quickly open up the relevant app. For example, if you ask Siri to show you your messages, she’ll not only show you a list of your recent messages, but she’ll also provide a shortcut to quickly open up the Messages app.
You can also add Siri Suggestions shortcuts to your Home Screen for quick access. To do this, simply tap and hold on an app icon until all of the icons start wiggling. Then, tap on the “Add to Home Screen” icon (it looks like a + sign).
Finally, choose whether you want to add a shortcut for just one specific app or for all of the apps in a certain category (like Messages or Calendar). Once you’ve made your selection, tap on the “Add” button and then tap on “Done.”
